A 52’ wildlife documentary on the wild elephants of Mount Kenya, the second largest pachyderm population in the world, with more than 6000 individuals in constant movement over 7000 square kilometers of densely populated land. To reduce the frequency of accidents during elephant migrations, and help preserve this majestic species that is still being hunted for its ivory, the Mount Kenya Wildlife Trust came up with a crazy yet ingenious idea: to build a 14-km elephant corridor with an underpass beneath a major road to keep the elephants—and the drivers—safe from the constant traffic. With added protection provided by some pretty unique guardian angels (horses!), Mount Kenya’s elephant corridor is a model of peaceful coexistence, where humans helping animals and animals helping one another are all part of the same story.
