The documentary has been updated with the recent discoveries of some debris in the Indian ocean.
On March 8th, Malaysia Airlines’ flight MH370, operated by a Boeing 777 flies from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. After an enigmatic last message from its copilot - “MH370, good night” -, the airplane vanishes from radar screens. Eight hours later, a last signal provides an approximate location of the aircraft in the middle of the Indian Ocean, thousands of miles away from its original route. Far from any coastline, short on fuel, flight MH370 probably ended its journey sinking in the ocean, with its 239 passengers and all its secrets.
Why did MH370 change its course so radically? Why did it turn off all communication systems? What really happened on board? In a few weeks time, its disappearance became the greatest mystery in a century-old modern aviation history.
With support from the most eminent experts, including Jean-Paul Troadec, former director of the French Bureau of Investigation and Analysis on Civil Aviation, this investigative docudrama film rigorously presents the reliable facts of this extraordinary disappearance. It reconstructs, in a genuine B777 cockpit, the three main hypotheses investigators are working on: a pilot suicide, a terrorist attack or a major technical failure.
