Kabo Ana Sefou is a shepherd from the Kabawa clan who has spent his life travelling the Sahel. But the future of his clan is troubled. Shrinking territory, drought and political troubles have only made things even worse. What can the future hold? Will the youth of his clan choose cell phones or tradition?
Here, Kabo films his family and his clan herding zebus, in assembly, at spectacular annual clan celebrations and establishing new homesteads. The contemporary story of a people that have inhabited the southern Sahara for over 6,000 years now told by a native son.
